Agreed with the previous posters about nuts, dark chocolate, and herbal tea. But really I think it's more about HOW we eat than WHAT we eat. Are you grabbing a bagel to eat in the car on the way to work? Or are you sitting down at the breakfast table to savor a bowl of homemade steel cut oatmeal with berries and nuts? Any food can contribute to lowering stress if we take the time to enjoy it! Of course, less processed foods will have more nutrients and therefore contribute to better overall health.
