How Do You Fight “Sitting Disease” In Your Daily Life?
Ruth Ann
I agree, one question recommends a 1:1 standing sitting ratio, while a later question suggests 2 out of 8 hours standing. Contradicting information.

Most of the questions contradict each other. Doing squats in an office chair isn't practical since most office chairs have wheels. I fight sitting by ensuring I walk at least 250 steps per hour and take 10 minute walks outside.
Patti Shawger Plouff
I would be careful using an office chair for exercises since most have wheels. I would think the desk would be a better option.

Be a teacher.

Stay hydrated with water and you'll be taking several walks to the restroom!
Michelle Monticello
I walk to ask people questions instead of emailing or calling. To avoid a wasted trip to desks far from mine, I call, text or IM them first to make sure they have time to speak with me

Park at the top of your parking garage. Walk down the ramps in the morning, and back up to your car when you leave work for the day.

Drinking plenty of coffee! That is, many restroom breaks!

I have a standing desk and I stand during meetings whenever possible.
