What Your Best Home Remedy For An Upset Stomach?

My mother swears by vinegar to help the bloating of an upset stomach! She will down a teaspoon of white vinegar!

If the cause is food contamination related, and it's not a serious food poisoning issue, I agree with vinegar, apple cider vinegar. But a common mistake is to take it straight up, which is bad for you! It must be diluted! 1 tablespoon in a glass of water, will kill the bugs but not cause other issues

Eat smaller meals. Avoid foods that bring on heartburn. Alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, orange and tomato juices, peppermint and spearmint flavored foods, and fatty or fried foods they make heartburn worse. Stop smoking. If you are overweight, lose weight, even a few pounds. Being overweight can worsen heartburn. Avoid tightfitting clothes, such as tight belts and waistbands. Raise the head of your bed 6 inches by placing a foam wedge or thick telephone books under the legs of the bedframe. Don't lie down to soon after eating. Try to stay upright for at least 2 to 3 hours after each meal. Avoid large meals and snacks before bedtime. Try acetaminophen rather than aspirin or ibuprofen, which may cause heartburn. Take an antacid, such as Maalox, Mylanta, TUMS, Gelusil,or yeah I was gone. Ask your pharmacist for advice in choosing an antacid, and follow the manufacturers directions.
